About Mr. Salim:

Born into a middle-class family in Allapuzha, Kerala State, India, Mr Salim inherited a legacy of social activism and public service from his father, the Late Mr Aboobaker, a renowned freedom fighter and community leader. Inspired by his parents' values, Mr. Salim pursued education at S.D. College in Allepy, Kerala, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1974.

In 1976, Mr. Salim embarked on a journey to the United Arab Emirates, where he commenced his career as a clerk for Kuwait Airways in Ras-Al-Khaimah, a position he held for a decade. During this period, his passion for social service ignited, leading him to co-found the Indian Association of Ras-Al-Khaimah in 1978, a pivotal organisation dedicated to community welfare and support.
